Anyone know how much longer I have to Pre-Order a GSO 10?

I really really want to get one pre-ordered however, I wont be able to get one until August 1st! As long as they are open until then I will be good to go! How do you guys think the new handle shape will fair compared to its predecessor? It looks like a beast!! I really want to take it out a serious one tool option! Please feel free to share any and all pics so I can drool over them lol :)

Nice thread! I don't know anything about the time frame for ordering closing, but I want to say it was at least a month between the 6 and the 4.5 closing. I'm hoping ordering stays open long enough for you.

I've never had an old spec 10, but I know not everyone was wild about the handle and finger grooves. Guy took to heart feedback and I think the new handle will be a huge improvement in ergonomics and function. Others who have used a 10 can weigh in.

One tool option? Yes! The idea that Guy put in the extra thought in the design to do everything he wants really interests me. Guy has said it wasn't supposed to be a chopper, but I've seen reviews and comparisons where it out chops some choppers. I can't remember if it was instagram or Facebook, but someone made a really nice spoon using the 10. What more could you want? :D
 
You're out of time to order a 10, but the 8 is still up.

Since no one is going to quantify, let me try my hands at this: 23 days, 9 hours, 52 minutes and 10 seconds exactly!
 
I'm hoping so too silver needle! I just don't think I will be able to stop myself from ordering one if I wanted to lol it's just calling to me. I have seen a do of those videos and the GSO 10 looks like it would out chop some Axe's lol...

Casinostocks thank you, that will give me plenty of time to order. I'm signed up for all the updates but haven't seen that one yet
 
Ellie will specify a date when it will close, and she usually gives a good couple weeks notice or so. There's no date yet so you should be good for a while

Yeah! I know that feeling!

Newsletters are sent the first Friday of each month.
 
They've closed a lot of models in the last four months (3.5, 12, 6, 4.5) and the status of each of those models is "we have steel, waiting for cutting".
I would not be surprised if they closed both the 10 and the 8 in the next couple of months since the status of those two models is "we have steel" as well.
 
No sooner then Sept 1st would be best for me 😬... Haha but I agree with you that a lot of them have closed for pre-orders but that could be bc the production process is getting fine tuned and are able to get them done a little faster...

In this case I don't think that closing the orders earlier will result in faster production at all.
I suspect that they could take GSO-10 orders for another six months without delaying the ship date.
None of the new generation GSO-10 have been produced yet so you'll have to wait for Guy's production teaser shots.

Wow, that's a really good point. Because of concern with the small numbers of the big blades being ordered I was a little surprised when they closed the 12. So maybe keeping the 10 open longer will benefit all involved.
 
I was also surprised that they didn't leave the 12 open longer to increase the number of orders.
Since it is a new model and the first dedicated chopper design maybe Guy wanted to start it regardless.
For the 12 to still be waiting for the blanks to be cut takes something away from that theory.

I'm sure you could do it just like your old spec 10 or any other large blade. Make sure you have enough clearance around you and make sure a missed strike won't come back down into yourself.

Maybe I should send one to Black Scout Survival or somebody like that to increase exposure... of course, then I'd have to put together a bunch more. I got time, I got time ...
