I want to purchase a fixed blade but they're all like 12 or more inches over all. The only fixed blades that are good sizes are push daggers and I don't want to be breaking any laws or anything like that. I would be very appreciative if you all made a list or provided links of fixed blades that were more like say, 6-8 inches over all. Thanks Everyone.

Actually, that is a common size.

What is your budget and use.

The Benchmade knives (Ritter is one) are generally good cutters for EDC (i.e. not thick bladed pry knives).

Then there are Bark River and whole bunches of custom/semi-custom knives. I like to recommend Gene Ingram and SURSUM for medium cost customs, but there are many others.

You gotta check Bark River. Super quality great price and they have a huge selection of smaller fixes blades.

Spyderco has a new Perrin design coming out that fits the bill. Blade-tech is now making a fixed blade as well. The Kershaw Echo isn't bad, it really begs for an aftermarket sheath though.

Well, you could look at Bark River Knives, which areexcellent. http://www.barkriverknifetool.com/, or Ranger Knives: http://www.rangerknives.com/Knives/index.html or Tom Krein Knives: http://www.kreinknives.net/kk_products.htm, or John Greco Knives: http://www.grecoknives.com/ I have several Barkies and Ranger Knives, I currently have 1 Krein, and 1 Greco, which I bought from the man himself. I can honestly and highly recommend a knife from any of the companies and individuals mentioned above.
