I've been admiring these, they are supposedly well made, I love black micarta, and I have always wanted a tapered tang fixed blade without paying for a custom (or an Al Mar).. But I don't know much about the company or anybody who has handled this knife. If anyone knows these, I'd love to know how they are.. I love Herron designs, but his blades are in a collector sphere way beyond me:D SO anyone have a thought on the Paragon/Asheville Lee Herron skinner? A certain retailer lists it as a boot knife, but this is not the dagger version, and it doesn't look like a boot knife to me (or a boot sheath). Anyway, thanks for any input, general searches are not quite doing it for this one but it looks like it has some real potential to my tastes...

It looks good to me. Price isn't bad at BHQ (who is a paid Bladeforums Dealer member). AUS-8 is a good working steel and Seki manufacture is encouraging. I think this would make a good personal utility knife.

indeed. just ordered, I'll see how it goes, looks darn practical and quite lovely. I'll report on fit and finish..
