I have an original Balisong, bought in 1978 for $325. This is a pre-Benchmade version, "wee hawk" blade. Military model, non-glare oxidized finish, about 9' in length. Heavy as hell. Excellent condition. W/original case. What's it worth?? I can provide pics.

The value depends considerably on the condition of the knife, its exact identification, age, etc. You can read a brief essay on the subject on my site http://www.balisongcollector.com/worth.html

If you'd like, you can send me the knife, I'll look it over for you, photograph it, let you know what I think, and even give you the photos.

If you're interested, we can talk by e-mail.

A bead blasted tanto once passed my hands.. an interesting piece the tanto was Pacific Cutlery.. I am curious if the handles had scales or if it was skeletonized handles.. for hat much back in the day it might be a 5 inch blade??
