Anyone know this maker?

I have a friend who has a couple damascus knives that have an etched makers mark of what appears to be Thomas Daniels with the Thomas in an upward arch and Daniels downward arch, with the T connected to the D. I am trying to find out any info for him that I can. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think they will photograph, I had to use a jewelers loop to make it out. It was a real poor etch.
