This Saturday I found an American made sabre multi function knife for 50 cents at a yard sale, and it has a tool that I'm not sure about.

Looks like a nail trim blade from a grooming kit, but much thicker and with a real steep grind.

I'm guessing it might be some kind of an awl. It looks similar to some of the ones I've seen before.

It does almost look like a reamer, and possibly an awl but sak awls usually have a hole ( has a direct copy of a vic can opener )

Hi. The similar tool I have on my SAK Spartan model is exactly called awl/reamer by Victorinox website (if I translate it literally: punteruolo/alesatore) :) .

Maybe it's what Schrade calls "scraper blade", to save your main blade's sharp and keen edge. Shape and profile look similar to yours, and the bevel is almost the same

In the User's manual of my 5WR vice grips, it's said to be there for scraping, rough tasks and dulling chores, and it is located just next to the tool's main blade

It cuts, but it ain't no scalpel! :D

It does scrape pretty well .
So it looks like this is either a poorly executed reamer or a scraper. I'll probably use it as more of a scraper, or to de-burr tubing.

Thanks for all the reply's, and thoughts on what it might be 👍

Does it have a corkscrew? It might be a "foil cutter."

It does, but I'm not sure that this knife was designed with wine connoisseurs in mind.
I'm starting to think this was meant as use your imagination tool, since Companies always do whatever they can to boost function count including counting the lanyard ring.

The only way to find a definitive answer would be to find an old cardboard display.
