Anyone know what type of bone?

I just talked to the Boss Man about that a couple of days ago. He said he's not exactly sure which animal but likely water buffalo and giraffe.

I'm holding out for some mammoth...

Unicorn, lol, no, it's not rainbow :)

Most of the bone we use is either water buffalo or giraffe. Both have excellent density and hold dye very well. All is stabalized. There is a lot of cow bone out there but it doesn't have the same density as giraffe or water buffalo so we don't use it. There is also a bit of camel bone that gets used for different knives out there but I have never used camel bone so I can not comment on it.

I was wondering what the reason was behind giraffe/water buffalo, I thought you guys had some weird fixation with African (wait, do water buffalo even come from Africa?) animals.

BTW giraffe's have black tongues, the same number or neck vertebrae as we do and don't have a call. Think about it, when the last time you heard someone make a giraffe noise?
