Thanks for the info mate, can't wait for this one, really love the humpless straight spine design and improved cqi backlock. My Pacific Salt has been my food prep knife for a long time, such a reliable lightweight maintenance free blade, modified the spine and tip a bit so it was a bit better at piercing cuts. From a thread on Spyderco's forum, a number of sites have January as the expected date.
I'm eagerly awaiting this one, too. Hoping for some reviews to decide between it and a Caribbean.

Based on my experience owning a Caribbean, don’t bother. It is too big, clunky and just not well executed overall, the blade is the only good part. The larger version was cancelled and one variant already disco’d due to poor sales.
I am looking forward to the Siren, it’s a much “safer” and straight forward design.
This plus the very weak detent makes it not suitable for active carry. Should probably stick with backlock for Salt knives and only get compression lock models from Golden.Based on my experience owning a Caribbean, don’t bother. I believe it’s the PE sheep, was disco’d last year.Which variant was discontinued? I don't think that's right. Both the sheepsfoot and leaf are still being made in both plain edge and serrated as far as I know. Where'd you hear otherwise?
Pretty sure hardware is Titanium most likelyI really like the looks and practicality of this model. Is the hardware and lock back made from Lc200n?
