Anyone know where ... sheaths

hello people,

Anyone know where I can buy raw Kydex in Europe? Or something similar?
I was once playing with a sheath of polycarbonate (security glas). And then I thought I could try to make a sheath out of it. Would that work? It would be kinda cool,
a sheath like kydex but transparent like glass.
And what is the best way to obtain leather? I mean, buying the skin of a cow is fairly expensive. Any good adresses?

I can't tell you of a specific place, but I suggest pulling out your phone book and callinga llo f the plastic supply places. I can not find Kydex where I live, but a 2 hour drive away lies Calgary and I found, thanks to my fellow forumites, a place that carries it by the 4x8 foot sheet!

Hello Cjensema,

I bet the cow doesn't like it. Have you ever lost a strip of skin? I did a few times (grinder, knife), and it never ceased to amaze me how much it hurts.
It is not the reason I am searching for kydex or concealex, but if it is a reason for you to help me....

Actually, You could blackmail a animalrights activist in buying you the kydex, or else you will continue using leather.

Any animal rights activist here?

Anyone who makes knives loses a piece of skin now and then. Awhile back Tom Mayo suggested using acetone to as a quick way to disinfect a cut or scrape. I tried it and discovered that Tom is obviously a graduate of the Marquis de Sade school of medicine. The acetone hurts worse than the cut.

Sorry.... I can't help with the kydex. I only use leather.
