Anyone know where this came from?

So I recently go this knife from a flea market and I really want to know where it was made and why?

I know it's from japan. I used the identifying markers(Which should all be in the imgur album) to look on google for a while and was able to find a knife that looks very similar from an antique website.
The website doesn't actually have any information about the knife other than it sold for $20 on auction. So does anyone know anything about this?

Yes I linked to the pictures of the knife and of the one that looks similar to it in the original post.
 
Welcome. Read the site rules. You cannot ask about values at your membership.

That appears to be a lower quality Japanese knife...probably 70s-80s, IMO.
 
Okay so I'm looking at the rules now. I see it says new members can't advertise or sell but I can't find anything about asking about values of items? But I guess I'm probably just not seeing it. So anyone else can disregard what the knife is worth but I would like more information about it. Who the manufacturer is perhaps? Thank you Marcinek for giving me the potential range of years it was made.

Edit:Okay found the rule and I edited the OP to remove the request about the knives value.
