Anyone know where to buy a BKT in Eastern Mass, Southern NH, or CT?

Still pissed about my BK2 being stolen out of my car, but I've resolved to go ahead and buy another. The BK10 is calling my name, but mostly for aesthetic reasons -- I think it looks cool, but everything I read tells me the BK2 is better for chopping and batoning. So... anyone know of any BKT dealers in Eastern Massachusetts? I'm on vacation and was hoping to do a bunch of customizing, and I'm worried that if I order it online it won't get here in time for me to play. Better yet, anyone in the area have one they're looking to sell? I'm willing to drive...

there's an army navy store "army barracks" chain in the area, notably Salem, NH, and they have KaBars, including zombie knives, and some Beckers. prices are what you'd expect for retail (high, msrp)... but instant satisfaction.

and there we are.

Thanks man, I think I'll give them a call -- impatience might win out over my checking account. So you local?

there is a gunshop in plaistow NH that carries becker, I dont remember the name tho...

could take a ride to Maine and go to the Kittery Trading Post.

i suggest a website, tomarskabars.com
they sell almost all ka-bars in production and at a very reasonable price
also, shipping is priority mail so you should recieve your becker in record time

Yeah Tomar's is where I bought the scales for the one that was stolen... I'm thinking I'll check stores around here first, then go the online route if those don't pan out. Thanks everyone.

Not many knife friendly places in MA, it's beginning to become locked down like NYC. You can definitely hit up NH, and as Viva stated, Kittery Maine.

plus if you are in the "general" area, you should hit up kittery anyways, its just a really cool place

I was thinking about KTP but then the gf strangely told me to hold off on the trip... leads me to believe she's been checking out my the history on my browser or actually listening to me talk about the toys I want... or she's just messing with me to get me back for all the fun I had with her a few weeks back when I was planning her surprise party ;) Either way, I just got an email that the Izula I bought from Gollum has arrived at my house (pretty much living at my gf's these days), so I've got a new toy to distract me for the time being. One of these days I'll definitely get up there.

AH HA!!!!!

Now, it all makes sense, your girlfriend stole it, and is planning on giving it back to you for a Christmas present.

Man, women are crafty, sly, underhanded, evil, and just plain old, wrong (Kay, if you're reading this, I mean every woman but you. Now go cook something :D)

I'm kidding. I love women. And they do have a few redeeming qualities. :D

Dude, I totally forgot about that place, it's near the now defunct Bleachers bar...

Yeah, I called over to Salem and they're all out. The one in Boston had a BK9 I think, but not the 2.

Moose I think you're onto something -- she must have been the culprit because she has a spare set of keys to my car and I *always* keep it locked! Also, her best friend/my roommate basically told me I didn't spend enough money on her present and convinced me to get something else, so now I think they're in cahoots -- they've both got me thinking she's going to be buying me something extra special, and they're going to split the gifts I get her!

i've advised many a woman that there are a few sins they commit on their men, that are basically unforgivable . they might ACT like they did, but they will never do it, and you've broken trust...

basicaly it boils down to "if you don't respect them, at least respect their stuff, and never, EVER take it, move it, or gods forbid, THROW IT OUT. ***NEVER*** (voice of doom) or you WILL regret it"

a buddy of mine had a super snoopy girl, and he was saving cash money for a special trip/vacation/ring. he kept the money in the back of an old radio his dad gave him. girl decides that the radio has to go, and one day without telling him, just gave it to a friend. a week or two goes by. he goes to put some money in. radio is gone. she acts all coy, like "what radio"... he is PISSED. eventually tells her that he had $$$$ in their for their special trip/etc because he couldn't trust her to not snoop and find it elsewhere, spend it, or demand new shoes or something. well, they goto their friend, and ask for the radio back. money is gone. friend denies everything. now, they've lost a friend, and shortly later, the girl lost her guy.

that said, someone's girl better not do anything permanently bad if she did take the BK2 (like engrave it with hearts and shit) ;)

hope you get *a* BK2 back, if not the one she pretended to steal (it probably was college students, looking for money for drugs, asshats ;>)

Well there's definitely a rectangular box under the tree now... but it looks long for a BK2. I'm thinking maybe a 7 or a 9? Tell me I'll be equally happy with one of those. I'm going to work on my "that's exactly what I wanted!" face.

And as for my girl, yep, she's fully capable of something like that -- nothing stays where I put it EVER! Actually at this point before I even begin searching for something I'll just ask where she put it ;)

i think they use the same long box for everything? could be a 5. for her ;) sure, you'll get it, but she gets to keep it.
