Anyone know where to get good cross-bows?

A good friend of mine is looking for a cross bow and I don't know anything about them. Anyone know what kinds are good, how much they cost, and where to get them?

Barnett is one of the big names in crossbows, a friend of mine who has two of them says that they are very good.
 
You might try sending an email to Andy Prisco over in the Busse Forum. He is carrying a line of crossbows.

Cabelas sells many brands of crossbows and compound bows(and tons of outdoor gear). Get their catalog or check the out online.
 
Horten makes a heck of a bow as well as hunter. In ohio where I live both have been used by myself and friends to harvest many a deer. My horten is aver 10 years old and going strong and the hunter bows have done well for some friends- awesome performers!

I know I used to see lots of advertising for crossbows,especially in the 1980's.They do seem to have sort of dissappeared from the spotlight.Well Barnett is one of the big names in crossbows and they should have what your looking for in a bow.I think because alot of States have outlawed hunting with a crossbow maybe even outlawed ownership,thats probably why we don't here alot about them.Good luck,Ralph
