Anyone know who might make this Browning

I don't really know who made it...but it sure looks like Fox Cutlery in Italy to me. No proof though, sorry.

Hey Bill:

Thanks, that's actually helpful. I do have one browning, the stag skinner, model 509 I believe, which was made in Italy, but I never knew by whom. It would make sense if they contract out to Fox Cutlery in Italy. I'll look into that lead.

Thanks again!

Jim

Edited: I just checked out the Fox Cutlery website. Appears that they use a lot of Olive Wood for handles, and thier linerlock folders are all made with 440C blades. Both would argue in favor of FC as maker of the Browning Signature Elite knife. Plus, there's an undeniable similarity between some of the FC models and the Browning.

I think that's enough circumstantial evidence to make me fairly confident that this was the maker. Thanks again Bill!
