Hi all. It's a pleasure to be here. From what I've read already, I can see I'm in good company.

I have a question...hope I put this in the right place:

I have a knife I'm going to sell, but I can't seem to find out much about it, let alone set a fair value.
It's an ALCAS 'The Solution Spirit', knife and hatchet combination.

Seems pretty rare, and it's in great shape.
I do know this is the "civilian' version, and there is a more prevalent version that is parkerized with a storage tube mounted on it. Mine is the shiney version.

I don't really collect knives, I design bullets.

Anyone with input here would be appreciated.
Thank you!

Alcas is the Parent Company of Cutco and Ka-Bar. For a while they made knives under the parent brand. AFAIK they only sell Cutco and KaBar now.

The knife is the Solution. It was designed by Dan Harrison who licensed Alcas to make and sell them.

I have no idea on the value or how much it may be worth.

here's a link to some info about the military version:

You might pose your question on
BladeForums.com > General Knife Discussion > Bernard Levine's Knife Collecting & Identification

Add Photos. There is a sticky at the top of Bernard's forum with instruction on how to do that.

I think there was a thread on this one a few days ago.

I think if you paid shipping, someone would take it from you.

Good luck.

I saw 2 being sold on E-Bay approximately 2 years ago. 1 that was in new condition went for 350.00 another went for 200.00. My friend has one and he was wondering about it's value also. I believe there is some collector value to them.
