As far as I can see, Real Steel and Sanrenmu definitely has business links between each other, and it shows in their respective catalogs. For example, Real Steel's E77 is essentially a linerlocking version of the Sanrenmu 9054 which uses SRM's unique bearing detent system:

Their E79 is pretty much a linerlocking version of the Sanrenmu 9051 or 9055:

And their T98 is essentially a supersized Sanrenmu 7046:

Any thoughts? One would think they are almost like two different departments under the same parent company with access to the same designers.

Hammer, meet nail. It certainly appears that Real Steel is to SRM what ZT is to KAI. I suspect they've seen the success Kizer and Reate have had in the high end international market and are dipping their toes trying to get a piece of the pie. And, honestly, I think they're filling a market void. KAI used to have some amazing offerings in very good steels for the $30-50 range, but those have largely dried up. Being able to snag a decent folder in 14c28n for about $35 is nothing to scoff at and, in terms of steel quality, the competition is very thin on the ground.

all those knives posted above are the same designer.

Liang Gang design.

There are manufacturing differences between those two knives in the first post, but they are the same by design due to the guy who designed them is the same person. i guess Liang brought all of his designs to Real steel factory. not sure why he switched.

Ruike is having there designs manufactured by Real Steel. Ruike is the Fenix Flashlight company's knife division.
