A few months ago, I came across a website advertising a knife designed by Ray Floro called The Floro. I did not bookmark it, and can't find it anymore depite Googling repeatedly with different combinations.

Anyone has any idea where I can find it?

Thanks.

As I posted earlier, any leads anyone on this forum can give me on how to track this knife down would be very helpful. Thanks again for your time!

Peter Jensen of JEB makes them. Great stuff!. The website has some updated pictures of some different mods. I have been talking with Peter all day about JEB. There is great stuff ahead and I have some pics to prove it!

WOW.................. ;)

What do you think of the knife - its balance, edge retention, robustness, weight as wll as its suitability for other tasks such as camping chores, etc?

I do not hace the floro knife, but I do have about five other's. I have an EVO, Combat Elite in a 2 variations, a Gundy Geko, and a CombatLite. D2, ATS34 and one other steel I cannot remember. All have great edge retention and are great at different camping tasks. The EVO makes a good all round survival, the Water Dragon is excellent in the camp kitchen as well a camp fire making, The geko is a great utility that rides on my neck in the provided sheath.

My recomendation is to get it.......you wont be sorry.

No, but you may try searching "Eskrimador Raymond Floro" or various martial arts supply dealers.

Peter Jensen of Jensen Elite Blades in Australia makes the Floro knife. Peter makes some of the most funky tactically-oriented knives around - period. Most things are 1/4inch thick D2, chisel ground, Micarta handled, Kydex sheathed and bead blasted. They all look like they would take a beating from a nuke and keep running. I've also seen a range of his training versions made from canvas or linen Micarta. If you're nice to him, he might even make a trainer for you. The links are as above. Jason.

Jason is right......I got a trainer version of the last knife I ordered. Cool Stuff!

Hello:

I have 2 Floro EDCs being prepared for me right now. They should be here in a few weeks. I will happily post my thoughts on them after receipt. As for Jensen Elite Blades, my experiences with Peter and Bel (the Floros will be my fifth and sixth knives from JEB) have been nothing less than stellar and I recommend their products to anyone who is interested in high-quality, hard-use knives.

I will second empytglass' call on JEB's service - really A1!

I have not spoken to Peter in some time, but I had heard that he has just filled a military order of sorts - is this the floro? I am guessing it is.

Hey Cerb, hows that Dragon handle? Let me know your thoughts as I am about to ask Peter what he thinks of another design I have just jotted down. feedback would be appreciated mate...:)

Another you should look at if into outdoors is the EVO Survival. In all seriousness (and I mean this Cliff:)), it is one of the best multi purpose knives I have used, even against my old WSK (a great knife in it's own right).

Heres one I just got in the mail. One of two current versions he offers of his UDT. The UDT was the first Jensen knife I saw way back in 2001 and I fell for it straight away. Just waiting on the 7" version now. ;)

1/8" BG42, 4" blade, steep'ish chisel grind and cuts like a dream! The handle ergo's are awesome!
