Hi Ken,
I have a Mounaineer II and a Shadow IV. I like the blade shape and sheath of the Shadow better. Had a Shadow III but traded it. I had read that the Mountaineer has a higher grind than the Shadow 3 and was a better slicer. I'd like a 4" blade but can't decide on the Mountaineer I or Aviator. Is the grind on the Aviator more like the Mountaineer I or the Shadow III?

That's what I thought, thanks Razor. That is why I traded my Shadow III for a 5.5" Mountaineer. Still deciding Mountaineer vs Aviator in the 4" line. The saw back of the Aviator might come in handy sometime but if the grind is similar to the Shadow III, I will probably go with the little Mountaineer.
