Just whining a little, seems like when the blades hit a hidden staple it rolls the edge, so I wondered if anyone made a knife using the steel used in the staples?

Annoying.....just wondered because if it turns a knife's edge so easy! Must be the edge is too thin to begin with...

but I admire your problem.

I worked as a printer for 13 misserable years and used millions and millions of staples. Most all staples are made of mild steel or some lower form of stainless. If they are mild steel then they usually have a galvanized coating. Not a very good choice for knife blades.
