I like the thin carbon blades on my Moore maker trapper but dislike having to dig it out of my pocket or wear the leather belt sheath. It has no lanyard hole , so is there anyone who makes a slipjoint with a pocket clip?

Case does. The new trapperlock has a clip, as do some of the Russlocks. My vote goes to the trapperlock. I don't know if you can get CV Russlocks, but there is a Chestnut CV trapperlock.

Case Mid Folding Hunter folder. It has both a pocket clip and a thumb stud to one hand open the blade.

Spyderco's new Urban is a slipjoint (though non-traditional looking) with a pocket clip.

STR didn't want to mention it I guess. However, he did a nice custom pocket clip job and thumb stud on a Buck 501 which I now carry almost daily.

So, don't rule out a custom deal with him if there is the "perfect" knife for you but it's missing the clip.

Well, they're not 'thin carbon blades', but the CRKT Edgie, Spyderco UKPK, Spyderco Urban, Spyderco Pride, Boker Buddy and the new Byrd Wings Slippit are all slipjoints with clips and OHO.

With the UKs EDC laws, can you guess which my favourite knife company is? :D

Go get yourself a Spyderco UK Pen Knife or an Urban. I think you will be pleased with either of them. The UK Pen Knife is made in the USA and couldn't be any better. It's one of my personal favorites and it doesn't even have a lock. :)

I just bought a new Case Trapperlock, but there is no clip. Where did you see one with a clip? I might have liked a clip on it.

I too like the Spyderco UKPK.

Something else you might want to consider is getting a open top soft pouch with a Clip, that way you can carry any slipjoint you like and if the pouch clips to the top of your jeans pocket, the knife will be kept out of reach of keys & change and within easy reach when you are ready to use it.

As an option to a clip on a traditional, you can also use a pocket sheath.

Last knife I bought came with one for free. I had never tried one and one day I figured I would. Son of a gun if that sheath didn't keep the knife upright in my pocket and just as available as if the knife had had a clip. I'd always kind of looked down on pocket sheaths, but I found them darn handy to keep a favorite knife just where I could get to it.

Other than the Case mid folding hunter are there any other traditional slipjoints with thumb studs?
