May I ask what the practical advantage of a double convex is on a Kephart?

I’m looking for a double convex spear point Kephart style knife. Custom or production OK with me. The Mike McCarter Kephart comes closest to what I’m looking for, but he’s sadly no longer making knives (see below, not my pic- thanks to OP).

This is definitely on my radar nowThe CPK version doesn’t have a double convex, but it does have what Nate Carothers calls an S-grind, it’s 2 shallow hollow grinds that create a slight medial ridge to help pop material away in similar fashion.
