Hello!
I’m looking for a double convex spear point Kephart style knife. Custom or production OK with me. The Mike McCarter Kephart comes closest to what I’m looking for, but he’s sadly no longer making knives (see below, not my pic- thanks to OP).

Thanks for your consideration!

May I ask what the practical advantage of a double convex is on a Kephart? Or is it an aesthetic thing? It sure does look nice.

May want to check out CPK's version. Think they are done with this pattern, but they come up in their sale thread as well as the exchange from time to time.

This looks dandy-I’ll be keeping an eye out. Thanks for the tip!

It's how they were originally made. Should provide better slicing as the convex spine won't drag on the material. It may have saved material for forging by drawing out the spine. It would have a good amount of strength still from the thicker center like a dagger would. I'm sure there's some aspect to the balance as well.

The CPK version doesn’t have a double convex, but it does have what Nate Carothers calls an S-grind, it’s 2 shallow hollow grinds that create a slight medial ridge to help pop material away in similar fashion. In the right light you can see the 2 grinds and ridge
