This all started about 4 or 5 months ago when I found a mint 61ot blade on ebay for $4 bucks. I got a hold of orvet (dale) to see what he thought I might do with it. So we looked around and after a week or so I found a 61ot on ebay that the blades were pretty rough on and got that for under $20bucks. I also had a 93ot with pretty rough blades on it and dale found me a spare 897uh blade that would fit in its place. he removed all the blades from both knives and made them both single blade knives. The 93ot was for my dads birthday and he loved it by the way and the other is for my pocket, you know to brag with. anyway the pics tell the majority of the story and dale can tell ya the rest.

Those are two real beauties Joel. I would be pleased as punch to own them, or offer them as gifts to folks I loved and respected.

Some nice stag, and filework; nice rescue by Dale!!
Brag away, Joel!!!!

I am glad you enjoy them Joel!
They were fun to work on, though the 61 had challenges of it's own. I always say I learn something every time I work on a knife. That was especially true on the 61..............I learned patience. :D

Here is the before pic of the 61OT with the replacement blade Joel sent me.

Here is the 93OT (in half) with the replacement blade donated by an old 897UH. Both knives are built on a 3-9/16" frame. The blade fit in without any problem.

That little 93OT is sweet. I may have to make one for myself.

Thanks again,
Dale
