So, I picked up a Cybertool M at a bit of a steal. I always carry a multitool at work and been thinking of adding carrying one elsewhere. But, none fit the bill perfectly. So, the cybertool is close. I’m thinking of removing the large blade and replacing with a file, and maybe even the small blade to replace with a nail file. Who is the go to for doing or even learning Swiss army mods so that it is as good as factory? I am handy with tools (I build cars after all) but I’m not perfect lol.

I'm rooting for you !
Maybe post also in the Traditionals forum and Multitool forum .👍
I have and use a whole lot of these. For file / saw I can recommend the SA Ranger and I like the Mountaineer size wise / compact .

Good luck with this and keep us posted if successful. I travel (via air) a lot and like to always carry a bladeless multitool, but the pickings are slim. I'd love to be able to remove sharp blades from a SAK and replace them with something dull.

For the record, my main EDC was the now discontinued Leatherman Style PS, but I've switched to the NexTool Mini Multitool - 9 in 1.

JDieseljoe69 JDieseljoe69 builds them out. I haven’t seen him on for a year though.

Send him a DM, worst is he won’t reply back.

There is a section for Multi tools and you might get more responses there.

If anyone can help, i have a sak soldier it has the serrated one hand opening blade, I am no a fan of the serrations, I have found a donor sak sentinel with the same size one handed opening blade not serrated, I am hoping someone could assist me by making the swap out.

You'll shake your head but quite a while ago I ground all the file teeth off the metal file in one of my SAK's and then sharpened the edge like a knife .
The theory being it would be a bit harder than the stock knife blades and it is extra thin .
Flirting with a broken blade but haven't broken it yet .
[ i'm going to go look up which model that one is ]

It's a Mountaineer .
