Anyone move the backspacer from a vantage force to a regular vantage?

I own a large vantage and am not a fan of the flow-through design. I like the look of the vantage force but prefer the uncoated blade and scales and narrower profile of the vantage. I've been thinking about getting a force just to get the back spacer (and maybe the dark pocket clip) but thought to ask here first - has anyone transferred the back-spacer from a force to a regular vantage? Pics? Alternatively, is it kosher to call-up Buck and see if they have clips or back-spacers they'd be willing to ship out? I suppose I could try making my own spacer...

I've wondered the same thing. I Have both the regular vantage and the vantage force avid which has the back spacer.
I think the back spacer will inter change to the regular, if I get some time today ill give it a try and post up some pics.

So my 2015 regular vantage is riveted together under the scales, my 2013 force is screwed together under the scales. so I was not able to change the spacer. But I did change the blade and the scales out so I'm sure it will work either of these ways.
BTW if you do swap the blades, the stop pin that's in the blade comes out easy.

Thank you for that reply.

The riveting would prevent "tuning" the lock-bar, no? Any over-travel on the 2015 vantage's lock?

I recently took apart a Vantage i got on Ebay, the lock-bar was against the far liner when open, so i meant to shift the liners enough to stop the over-travel (and clean up some rust under there, knife had not been well cared for). It turns out the seller had switched to G10 scales, but he must have taken the knife apart completely at some point as 2 of the screws holding the frame together were deformed where the threads try to catch the liners :grumpy: He'd used enough lock-tite to keep them in place, but one twist dislodged the glue. The knife is now held together by the pivot and one screw in the rear spacer.

So i contacted Buck's warranty dept. just today, told them about the knife and the issue (assuring them that it'd been taken apart moer than once, that it was an ebay purchase, etc.) and they're sending me replacement screws and also a vantage-force back-spacer to try! If the spacer doesn't work, I may buy a vantage force to do the blade-switch as you suggested or i may just gift the knife (once fixed) to a friend. Eitherway, big  to Buck's warranty department!

Update: Buck sent the back-spacer but not the replacement screws :( Perhaps I'll have to send the knife in anyway. However, the backspacer fits perfectly! Pics to follow...
