Anyone? New Sharpening device!

Just FYI, there was a guy spamming for them a month or a few ago, so that's MAJOR points off in my book.

Plus, I already have an Edge Pro, so I'm expensive-sharpenered-out!

I still think that the design looks real good. The problem I have with Edge Pro is that some of my knives wiggles so I can't get that exact angle. But with this design, I am very sure you can get great results with minimum removal of steel...

A little bit of funtack or play-doh solves that wiggle problem without a major financial re-investment. So does easing up on the pressure one applies with their handles to the knife's handle and stone arm.

A Lansky or Gatco will do what the wickededgeusa does without costing so much. So will buying some EZ-Lap or DMT Diasharp benchstones in similar grits and laying off the coffee.

Hi,

Pretty interesting tool. Watching the demo clip, the thing I didn't like was sharpening away from the edge, rather than into it. It would seem to be pretty easy to create a feather edge with it.

I do like the adjust ability for forming any angle you might want. Still, I won't be trading bench stones any time soon for one.

A nifty idea but expensive and unnecessary. Clamp systems tend to be iffy on several different blade grinds, especially swedged spear points, and if you really need a "scalpel edge" on a basic knife, I'd stick with a pasted strop.
