Anyone notice fading to FFG Delica 4 scales?

I have been carrying a blue delica 4 for about a year straight now, and yesterday I decided to clean the scales for the first time, because they didn't look vibrant blue like when they were new. I got some soapy water and brushed it with a toothbrush. Once it was all clean I notice the blue color was still pretty dark. Anyone else notice this? I really like the bright blue so is there anything I can do to try and brighten it up again?
 
My purple one seems to have darkened a bit, but I don't have a new one to compare it to so maybe my imagination.
 
I just clean my blue one same way you did and it looks good but not new I think they come with clear coat and it wears .
