Hi all,
Seems this company is ripping me off as well. My model 1 Kerambit/Karambit design is being made and sold on ebay and elsewhere by this MTech company. I have plenty of evidence to prove this is my design and my make with my name on it and all that good stuff, made years before they produced their version. Anyway, I tried Mike Turber with no reply as of yet. I understand he pursued his knockoff law suit against Joy and now has a deal with MTech to make his designs and the designs he got from other makers and designers. Well, to my suprise when I saw my design being sold on ebay and at Bladeauction, I flipped as you can imagine. I emailed mike a couple of times but am still waiting. Just thought this might be faster. Heck, my model one is pictured in my avatar for cryin out loud. Anyway, I want to contact them and "talk" to them about it if you know what I mean. I did a search online but only came up with retailers who sell MTech knives. Anyone have a number or email or some sort of contact info ?
Thanks guys......RDT
My model 1 pic taken at tripleaught about 2 years ago, maybe more now ?

I am pretty sure Mike Turber mentioned that M-Tech is a Master Cutlery brand. I would bet on it. Master Cutlery's phone number is (888) 271-7229. Good luck and keep us updated

If it is a Joy Productions brand, I have the toll free 1-800 for them if you need it. They were nice to me a while back for info bout Fury Balisongs from the 80's.

Thanks fellas I will chem em out and see what develops. Of course I will keep everyone informed as to the out come.Take care.....RDT

Rich,

I got your email and I am in transit and can not respond there on my POP for some reason. I am negotiating with Master Cutlery right now and time is growing short. In short, should they not follow through I will entertain several options. I have mentioned you directly to Victor in my conversation with him yesterday. I am finalizing an agreement and hope to have word by Friday and Monday. Right now I am trying to get them to follwo through with paying royalties but I can not speak for you directly unless I know what you want said.

Problem is I am moving to California and will be in transit all next week so communication will be slow for a bit. Call me at 800-969-7771 sometime tomorrow after 12PM. I can say more then.

Here is a picture of the MTech knife.

EXCELLENT !, thanks bro. I will call you tomorrow. Good luck on your move. We'll discuss what I want said and all that as well. Peace.....RDT

Keith,
Thanks, as you can see it's essentially the same knife ! Although it's not that easy to tell from my avatar as it's a crappy avatar at that and the pic is distorted. However, the pic I posted in the first post is there for all to see should someone want to compare. Thanks again....:D

Mike,
I've been trying to get in touch. Your tel mailbox is full and won't take anymore messages. As well I emailed you twice yesterday again and your mailbox is full there also. Empty some mail bro and let's get crackin' !:D Or, when you have time drop me a line in my email or call me at 718-435-1934. I don't mind. Peace.....RDT (Derespina Knives)

MTech is coming on the scene hardcore with more ripoffs than I've seen from any brand in a long time.

And if that doesn't make you feel great about MTech knives, they seem to have become a favorite amongst the thugs of West Baltimore (Sandtown) due to their low cost and high availability.

I'm not saying you should blame a company for the actions of their end users... but when I think of MTech knives I just can't separate them from the punks I've seen with them.

Yup, I saw that wave rip off as well. You are correct aboutthugs buying low end knives. That's the standard short of kitchen knives nd screw drivers. No thug wants to buy a custom knife only to use it and toss his several hundred dollar custom knife out. However, I knife that costs anywhere from $8.00 to $30.00 is most likely to be the tool of the theiving trade. It's just an acceptable loss. This is dangerous for those of us who use knives responsibly.
