Anyone own a Colonel Coon Slipjoint?

If anyone has input on their knives I would appreciate it. They make traditional knives and I have found them on fleabay. I want one not only because they look nice and are made by Queen, but my nickname, which has been replaced by ConBon, is/was CoonBoon (at the time, we didn't know "coon" was a derogatory term for African Americans, but the large amounts of dirty looks and mean spirited gestures in public taught us quick). Anyways, I am referring to new models made by Queen and licensed by [a famous knife vendor].

You're welcome! It wasn't until last week, and only because I asked in the Technical Support forum, that I was l'arned that there's a very simple way to search a specific forum:

I'd missed that entirely up until then.

It makes for very efficient Searches. Remembering that I'd laughed when someone else asked about "Colonel Coons," I availed myself of the above forum-specific Search option, and voila!

Here ya go, pics of mine:

The Scout is about the size of a Case Jr. Scout, pretty much the same pattern that Queen sold under Schatt and Morgan for a fraction of the price. The main blade wasn't very sharp out of the box but only took a little work with the Lansky to make it nice. Still not sure what to do with what I think is a can opener blade, but I always have a P-38 can opener with me camping.

I got a deal on the humpback whittler and figured it would be cool to have with my larger Schatt lockback whittler with the same shape frame. Again, the blades weren't super sharp but since they're 420HC it didn't take much work to get them shaving. The main blade walk and talk is good, the smaller blades are a bit lazy, but no wobble anywhere. They've gotten better with a WD-40 joint rinse and repeated use. It's a little small to be a "real" whittler, but I like it as a watch pocket knife.

If you can get the Queen made ones for a good price I'd say go for it. I have my eye on their Barlow but the price is a bit high on the ones I've found. The original Colonel Coon's seem to be pretty rare and priced accordingly.
