Anyone own a Fehrman knife?

There's a few threads on here about that brand. I'm interested in the handle construction myself. Fehrman uses some spacer material that is supposed to somewhat absorb some shock during use. Never handled one though..... I'll see if I can find some other threads for you.

i have a PeaceMaker. excellent knife in every regard and the Fehrman folks are very nice to deal with.

I have a couple of Fehrman's knives. I can tell you that they are tough and hold an edge very well, Fehrman uses CPM 3V and their own heat treat to make a very tough knife. IMHO, (second only by INFI), but not by much. They also cost about half as much as a comparable knife from Busse.
Their handles have a spacer built in to insulate your hand from the blade and it works, you can wale on them without getting a sore hand as quickly as other knives without it.
I haven't shown mine any mercy and the only wear is some scuffing on the blades.

I have a First Strke and a Shadow Scout, both in satin. Both are exelent knives with perfect fit and finish. I don't think you can go wrong with any of their knives.

Excellent knives. Own several of them and they perform very well. However, they stain. If you don't like knives that stain, better get stainless steel bladed knives. Their handles ergo are excellent. Feel alive in my hand.
