I know this is a very inexpensive knife, however I really like the look of it and Rough Rider have a decent reputation for their other more traditional budget folders, so I thought I would ask if anyone has one. It's only $12, so no loss really even if it is not great, but it seems pretty nice for the money. The one I am looking at is 5" closed and 3.875 inch blade, there is a larger version (Rough Rider Giant Man Stiletto) that is just massive, it is 7.5" closed with a 5.75" blade.

This is not a traditional knife and shouldn't be asked about here, but I can tell you that their modern type folders are pretty much the same as TAC-Force...ect quality wise and should be avoided.

They have been around for a very long time. Probably longer than the stockman pattern. I don’t know how they couldn’t be considered traditional. My 2 cents.

That is why I originally posted in "traditional". Even though this is a more "modern" style of stiletto. I guess I am not as familiar with the nuance here of what is or isn't considered a traditional knife pattern/style based materials, design characteristics or other factors.

It's a modern folder with a titanium look to it.
The name sounded familiar so I looked it up and just as I suspected I've seen it in the smkw catalog when it was marked Colt.

I see that, I was wondering why I could find so little info on it branded as Rough Rider, searching Colt Titanium Stiletto under the same names brings up more info on it. Regardless, I like the look, it is an attractive knife to me, so I bought one for $13.

Colt made a model exactly like the Rough Rider a few years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if Rough Rider is just the Colt brought back for 2017 given how interconnected most of the Tennessee / SMKW / Chinese brands are. The Colt had a very positive review here - www.youtube.com/watch?v=skqhq948K4I .

It is identical to the Colt. It's just been rebranded by Rough Rider. I suppose they just ordered the #38 platter from some Chinese factory and had their name stamped on it. No problem here, I like the look.

I actually really like the look of that. I'd pick one up for fun but its tip down only. Bummer, looks like you could wave it open...

The review I saw said it had some odd pivot screw, (just looked at a closeup picture, it is standard torx). Two of the three videos only flipped open about 30%, the other video the guy was able to flip it open without a problem and without flicking his wrist.

That's what I'm saying, $13 shipped for mine. It has a really nice look, it supposedly comes less than "sharp", like barely cutting paper sharp, but that will give me something to fiddle with and "fix".

Yes there is a larger one, it looks ridicules, way to big to the point of looking silly in a hand.

I'd be very cautious with trusting the lock , until proven otherwise . Lots of leverage on a folder that big .

I got the smaller one, that large one is absurd looking and impractical for anything I can think of.
