Ok, I'm waiting impatiently on my Steyr M9 to get here so I can try it out. If anyone owns or has owned one of these pistols in a M9 or M40, then let me know how you like or liked it. I just felt like I needed one in my collection.

I'll post pics of it when it gets here.

My range buddy has one and I shoot it everytime we go, and I LOVE it. The trapazoidal sites are a bitch at first, but after you get used to them its no biggy. Not one misfire...ever.

my bud has a 9MM version, good reliabilty/pretty accurate, but those trapazoidal sights are strange, i think ya can get them w/std sights, i might would think of that, are the traps nite sights, i havent noticed on my buds? can ya get trap nite sights?? if not i def would go w/the std sights myself. are high cap mags available?? must say it fits my hand well, all in all better than i was expecting.

also look at the new poly springfield armory, its a good one, dont like the grip safety, but not that big a deal, a good gun in the same price range, or even cheaper maybe. and of course glock, ya cant say enuff good about them imho, though a little higher $ i think.

Thanks for the info on the Steyr guys. I'm still waiting for it to arrive by the brown truck.

SIFU, I ordered an XD40 Tactical for a customer, and he let me shoot the gun before he picked it up. The gun shot great right out of the box, but I don't like the grip safety on the XD. Great gun though!

i understand ya, i dont know why they had to have the grip safety?? one reason i still have my glocks, the only pistol i like a grip safety on is a 1911, and a bud has one w/the thing pinned and i am not sure i dont like the pinned one better than the std 1911,

let us know what ya think of the steyr.

Is there any difference between the XD and the HS2000? The XD's list price is about $150 more than what I paid for my HS two years ago.

The HS was manufactured by IM in Croatia and imported by Intrac.

If I'm not mistaken, the Springfield XD name has replaced the HS2000. The Springfield XD's are made in Croatia just like the HS was, and I don't know if any of the features have changed, but maybe one of the experts here will know.

As for the Steyr.:( It shot every time I pulled the trigger, but its just not for me. I can't, or won't get used to this gun. I just don't like the trapezoid sights, safety, or the feel of the gun. I guess I'm used to 1911's and Glocks. I think I will run another 500 rounds through it before I swap it off.
