Just wondering what you thought of it. Its definitly some eye candy.

never owned one, but have ridden them and known some people that have them. as one of the few remaining hardtail junkies (nothing like litespeed ti), an ellsworth is the only full suspension that i would consider owning. maybe i will get old enough one day to warrant one.

My experience with Ellsworth, they break. I have seen numberous Truth's and 2 Jokers break. If you want to spend that kind of cash look at Yeti, Titus, Ventana or any number of the small custom frame makers.

For a tank look at Banshee Screem, otherwise Orange 223 Double D or Santa Cruz VP-Free. In all of the above cases your money is much better spent.

While the Ellsworth price tag might suggest that the bike is bomb proof it is most certainly not. I have ridden Truths, Dares, and Jokers and everyone of them has cracked at the rear dropouts and at the steerer tube below the down tube. Even with gussests.

Now, what type of riding do you plan on doing? Freeride? Urban Assualt? dirt jumping? downhill? All of these factors have to be considered before choosing a bike. Help us help you. ;)

Just guessing off the top of my head, given that you are looking at the Ellsworth line, you are into freeride. I would look into the Norco Manik. It is one sick ride!!!
