Looking at these two and wondering if anyone knew about them or has experience with the lone wolf knives in general?

thanks

I have a Gerber Paul (early procuction) that I like very much. I would definitely like to have either one of the two that you have pictured here. Kinda favor the carbon fiber handled one, but I could be happy with either one. As far as the blade steel selection and HT, I can't say, but these are slick knives.

I also have a Paul Gerber and the knife is well made. One of my EDC's is the Lone Wolf Diablo DA and have no complaints about this one either. Either of the two you show above should make a fine addition.

Mathew, I rotate this Lone Wolf Defender in my EDC. Great knife but you just have to get comfortable with the Paul opener.

How does the opener work, and does it lockup tight, without blade play?
I recall reading that they tend to loosen up over time. Is this a problem with any of yours?
The knives look good, but some Lone Wolf models use better steel than others.

Arty, I have only had mine for about a year now but it rides in a pocket about three times a week and no issues. When it closes it makes this awesome snap/click sound...just makes me smile.

I have 7 of these with different type handles and 3 or 4 that look totally different but have the same lock-up. Have to push the button to close or open it.

It's easy to get used to and locks open and closed; it will not accidently open in your pocket. I like that one with the CF scales.

I have 9 Paul knives from Lone wolf. I love the the locking mechanism for the crisp snap it makes when moved into position and there is no "play" in the blade when opened or closed.
As for the "Executive", I don't have one...yet.
