Anyone prefer 112 over 110?

I know there are a lot of 110 fans here and for good reason, but does anyone like the 112 even better?

I have both, but I always seem to pick up the 112 for use and carry. For my needs, the 112 can tackle any cutting task that the 110 can do. So it is obviously the 112's smaller size and weight that makes it more appealling and practical to me.

Please don't flame me too much. I really do like the 110...but just not as much. :D

I hear where you are coming from. Its almost the same knife, though more pocketable. Its that "almost" part which probably keeps folks sticking with the 110.

Actually, for me personally, it's the 'almost' part that makes me stick with the 112. I do like the 110 (I actually own quite a few more of them, compared to my 112s), but the 'almost' part is what makes the 112 more pocketable, for me. For pocket carry, the 110 is just a tad bulkier than is comfortable for me. Still a great knife, though.

I have more 112's than 110's and actually prefer the 112. I have an old 2 dot 112 I have had for over 20 years and its my go to hunting knife.

Nope.:D The 110 is and always will be my favorite. Unless I wore cargo pants all the time with those huge pockets, I don't consider either a "pocket knife", so they would go on my belt in a sheath. I just like the proportions of the 110 better (the 112 just looks stubby to me) and I've never felt the weight is an issue. Who's going to notice the 1.25 oz. difference in weight?

Besides, according to 110 Dave, they are a "girlie" knife. ;)

Never had a 112,I have 4 110s though. If they offered the 112 as a custom shop offering I would be all over it!:)

TAH, all kidding and joking aside. If the 112 is your favorite, it doesn't mean a hill of beans what anyone else thinks. Carry and use what you like best and that works for you (as long as it's a Buck!;)).

I didn't give the 112 much thought until I got one a few years ago, then they kind of grew on me. I don't prefer the 112 over the 110, but it has it's place.

As much as I love my 110's, I am hard pressed to like one over the other. I think that the shorter blade on the 112 makes it a better 'whittler', but the longer blade on the 110 makes it a better 'carver'. I say, you gotta have both.

I've been carrying a nice Four-Dot 112 for months and it really works out great for me.

It's just enough smaller so it's a little more handy and it works well to carry in in the knife-size pocket of the Cabela's pants I usually buy.

I like the 112s but carry a 422 most of the time... I have way more 110s than 112s... But I have more 422s anything, I think... ... I've been buying a lot of 110s lately... ITE ...

I've been saying it for quite awhile now. The 112 fits my big hands like it was made just for me. The blade is plenty big enough, to do anything that one would do, with a folding knife. I've always preferred knives that were on the smaller side, so the 112 fits nicely..
