I am not an advocate of batoning but I am just curious if the omni hunter fixed could stand up to batoning and other torturous "tests" survivalists like to put knives through. Thanks.

I think you want the Knife Reviews & Testing Forum...

This is a gentlemen's forum...where knives are handled with white cotton gloves, or not at all...

And display cases sometimes cost more than the knives in them...

Hammers, 2x4's, blades clamped in a vise...these are all frowned upon here...

<sniff>

My cases don't look like there very valuable, but if you figured the hours of effort trying to make them look decent, figured at minimum wage, they are high dollar. I built the bed I guess I have to sleep in it.

I was hoping for a picture of the Omni knife so I would know what it was....

Yep...I'll be 60 next month... :D

I was just telling someone about the trains that ran through my backyard when I was a kid in the '50's...We'd sit in a cherry tree eating cherries, about 10 or 12 feet up, and wave at the people zooming by in the trains...six feet away... :eek:

The engineers would toss us chalk...those big ones... :p

We'd eat cherries and later poop our brains out... :o

And we played with knives...I had several, but I don't recall any Bucks until I got in my teens...not sure why that is...local hardware store didn't sell Bucks back then??? Western New York state, Niagara Falls...no Buck distributors/salesmen back then??? :confused:
