Anyone recogize this makers mark on hatchet?

The stamp says it's a KEEN KUTTER from E.C. SIMMONS.

Here's your photo:

That half hatchet you have there is an Ec Simmonds keen kutter.
Their axes are fairly desirable in good shape because the embossing on axes is often worn away , and they display very well in a collection.

Can you give an approx on age,and with the little embossing left on this one is it worth trying to resell?I enjoy finding these metal detecting but usually pretty rough coming out of ground and have started grabbing at yard sales mainly to resell if worth anything.

Reread you post and realize you mention axes versus these hatchets...will have to keep checking the axes I see.

Good info to know, will beware of any look out of the ordinary.

Fwiw, Keen Kutter is probably the most recognised & collectable brand name there is.
Huge variety of Keen Kutter products, & said to be widely counterfeited.

I didn't mean that just the axes are valuable ( I call a hatchet a hatchet, but axe refers to both in general )
But definitely check them out.
That hatchet is definitely worth selling, if you have a use for it I always say that any axe or hammer has more value in its use then any money you could get for it. ( I've got a hammer from the 1880's that I could sell but I'll get more use out of it than money )

Thanks for great info, and agree on keeping a good tool..at this point I cant think off the top of my head how many axe heads and hatchet heads I have so gotta thin a few out to keep wife happy, think Im on the onset of being a hoarder...you open my shed and you can get in about a foot..lol
