There's no photo! Those dimensions sound like a worn Puget sound though. Look forward to seeing it if you can figure out how to post a pic. I use imgur.

The next one is to clean the axehead with a wire brush, a drill or an angle grinder makes it easier. You are looking for a maker's stamp. Most of mine just came with a paper sticker, decades lost.
