Anyone Remember Buck Lights ?

I thought you were talking about the old plastic handled (maybe 112 sized) knife Buck made...the Buck Lite. That was my favorite knife when I was a kid in Boy Scouts.

Regarding the real lights, my grandpa still has a few of those 2 AAA ones like you have linked. They came in a package with a mini-buck IIRC. Pop is pretty good at loosing his pocketknives, so those mini's are long gone, but the lights are still around.

Yeah, weren't they something.
Now try gettin' a replacement bulb for anyone of them...
No problems with the mini Streamlight (interchangable with Maglights bulb) which used to be blister-packed along with those mini plastic Buck folders; it's the one which used a single AAA battery.

They were definitely made by Underwater Kinetics (as mentioned above). My first "good" flashlight was the 4AA Buck Light. By the time I realized how much I liked it (and I was hooked as a flashlight junky), they were no longer available. No problem, because I switched to the UK4AA and UK2L. They served me well (including an incident in a movie theater when a guy had a seizure and I helped) until I discovered Streamlight, SureFire, then Pentagon and now inexpensive, but freakishly powerful LED lights from China.

If you need new lamps for your old Buck Lights, just get what Underwater Kinetics makes for the equivalent light.

In a recent newsletter there was a add for a new "Buck Lite" 20.00 ?????? Has anyone tried that yet?
