Anyone remove the metal logo from their Leatherman Charge sheath?

I have a Leatherman Charge with a leather sheath. I was wondering if anyone has removed the metal "Leatherman" logo rivited to the front of the sheath? It looks like it is only held on by two small rivots, but I don't know if that also holds in rivot for button.

Thanks for your input. Any negative side effects as a result of the operation? I may not have side cuts in my tool box, anyother suggestions?

No side effects, if you are a bit paranoid, you can sew up the holes, or at least around the rim (No rim jokes please :D ) with 1lb fishing line. If you dont have Side Cuts, the cutter on a large pair of pliars will do it just as well.

It is some kind of cast alloy, so it yields pretty easily.

I have removed the metal logo. I think I'm going to try and find some sort of cover to go over the ugly brass washer I revealed :barf: . I may just give up and order a "wave" shealth from Leatherman. They are identical but the logos on those are stiched :D

Something to think about...

I bought both a Charge (with the nylon sheath) and new Wave (with a leather sheath). I found that the Charge fits very nicely in the Wave sheath; it's a touch more snug, but I have no problems drawing it, and I don't hafta deal with that $%^&* metal thingie.

I also don't care for velcro on sheaths; it makes it nearly impossible to draw a knife or tool discreetly (say, to clean a fingernail during a deadly dull meeting ;). The Wave sheath has a nice, sturdy snap.

Leatherman sells the sheaths separately on their site. Might be worth the upgrade.
