I just arrived back in Canada after a two month contract in Australia to find a new DC/black G10 Mini Sus Scrofa waiting for me!! I've got a month off before heading to Tanzania in January so I was thinking of a blade re-profile, something like this:

I know a few people had mentioned doing this a while back and was wondering if anyone out there is still thinking of it or has done it already (if so photos please!).

Haven't seen any hawkbill to Wharncliffe transformations yet...

I'm waiting for Grinducci to whip out a drop point...

I was thinking about having mine ground down to a wharnie, but after using it, I've discovered that I really like the blade shape as-is. It's a great little/ big knife, Jerry did a good job with the design on this one. It's very distinctive looking, too.

If you grind it down so that the edge is straight, you'll lose a bit of the blade length. I've found that the little bit of extra blade length really helps in cutting, as opposed to the meaner. I like my Scrofa a lot better than my meaner, it seems more useful, even though it doesn't look like it would be.

it is funny, I was just thinking of starting a thread with the same question the other day. I remembered hearing that several people were going to do different grinds.
