Anyone Seen My Mnandi?

I ordered my first Mnandi (beautiful bloodwood) from NGK yesterday and paid for overnight UPS shipping. The package was indeed shipped yesterday but UPS tracking shows my knife to be sitting in Louisville since 5 o'clock this morning. I so much wanted my new CRK for this weekend. Oh well, I hope the package arrives at my office on Monday. I don't know what could have happened.

Give a call and rattle their cage. If they don't pony up with the knife today you might be able to get the folks at New Graham to get a refund for the shipping costs.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Monday is a Holiday; President's Day. UPS delivers on Sat.

I doubt that UPS would deliver to my workplace on Saturday. And I just checked the UPS website, and whew, UPS does not observe Presidents' Day as a holiday. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

But it sounds like UPS pooped the bed, not New Graham. NGK would probably work with you on a refund just because they rock (super-nice fellas up there) but realistically, it's UPS that owes you a refund on the difference between 2-day ground and overnight.

New Graham is undoubtedly not at fault. The problem may be weather-related. According to UPS tracking, the package left Virginia at 7:40 p.m. Thursday and arrived at Beckley, W. Va. The package left Beckley at 1 a.m. Friday and due to "adverse weather conditions" arrived in Louisville, Ky., three and a half hours later--4:50 a.m. Friday--where the package apparently still remains. Well, that's life. However this turns out, I still have the East Coast Custom Knife Show in NYC next weekend to look forward to. Dozier table, here I come.

New Graham should get a refund on shipping and pass the savings on to you.

Right on, James.

Ya'll hang onto your hats, it's snowing again this morning! Two Saturdays in a row! Be careful out there.

Professor.

Good news. My Mnandi is at UPS NYC (Manhattan) main office one block away from my workplace. Monday will be a happy day for me.

hey johnny-wtf is wrong with su sports right now?
since gross was hired the school is in a total funk-ncaa loss to vermont ,no final 4 for lax, well what can be said about last seasons football team, and jimmy's hoops team cant win all of a sudden-

UPS can be very frustrating !

I ordered a critical part for work on the 15th. The business that I'm dealing with only offers "Ground" and "2-day Air." What makes matters worse, they are the only place to obtain said part. Don't ask me why they only offer two services ~ and I even tried to get them to use my UPS account info and ship if overnight. :grumpy:

The item was picked up early AM on the 16th. Was really hoping that it would be delivered today.

HA.

When I check this morning, it's scheduled for delivery on the 21st.

Not to mention that we did not win the lacrosse championship. But you are right, the NCAA basketball championship was fantastic. I miss so many things about Syracuse--Syracuse University Class of 1970, Coleman's, Weber's, the Landmark Theater, the Post-Standard (where I was a reporter for 10 years), the Everson Museum (where I saw John Lennon), Sibley's, Dey Bros., Clinton Square, Marshall Street. I have got to get back to Syracuse.

I moved out of Syracuse in 1980, so the Dinosaur wasn't there yet. But I can't wait to walk along South Salina Street. Or go to a concert at the War Memorial.
