I just got back from the theatre. I enjoyed the movie, and I thought that it was very underrated, there was a good plot, nice action, but unfortunately I found dialogue to be lacking. A lot of people didn't like the exorcism itself, it was different but I would not say it was bad. In fact, it was very entertaining. Sure, nothing will recapture the original Exorcist's creepy moments (Reagan's head spinning, pea soup, spider walk), but this film comes very close.
My two problems were that A) There seemed to be too much CGI, and a lot of it was too obvious. B) It relied a little too heavily on "jump-out-from-the-corner with loud musical eccentuation" scares. Other than that, I would definitely give this film a watching, but for some reason I wouldn't want to watch it for another 10 years, possibly because the film can be slow at times. Compare that to a movie like Pulp Fiction, which I could watch once a month.
Wait til it's on DVD and check it out, I hate movie theatres. Well, I hate movie-goers

Yes, we all see that your cellphone is illuminated, now stop screwing around with it and watch the movie

No, you're not impressing me by saying "that didn't scare me", and don't clap at the end of the movie, it's a PROJECTION not a stage. :barf:
