Alaskan guide for more than twenty years, Russ Kommer, nicknamed “Bwana” by his clients, has spent his career skinning caribou and moose that can weigh as much as 1,600 lbs. From his in-the-field insight, he designed and made his own knives to complete his tasks. This latest collaboration from CRK&T is one of the most practical folders ever made. It’s satin finish full-belly skinning blade features a drop point and is full height hollow ground. The holes in the handle keep the knife light, and provide a better grip, especially when wet. Incorporating the unbeatable LAWKS system with the dual stainless steel liners and Zytel scales makes the Alaska Bwana as rigid when open as it is safe to use. The stainless steel pocket clip is removable, if you prefer, as does Russ.

Looks pretty nice, With CRKT's prices I am sure I will pick one up, But it's going to have to wait it's turn, I still need a Wasp and a D.O.G. first :D

I've noticed on the CRKT M-16 there is a little protruding piece on the spine of the handle when the knife is closed. Does this knife have that "speed safe" that's on the Ken Onion knives? Thanks in advance.

No thats the Carson Flipper, You give it a good push with your thumb or pointer finger and it wipes the blade out. Very handy and effective.:)
