Looks like the 15 needs to catch up! You mean like did they start with 500 of each? I don't think so. And from postings here Ethan seems to know an appproximate number, but not an exact figure. It's possible they are withholding some stock to create a sense of urgency for people to buy them, but I mostly doubt it.
 
What i'm wondering is, where are the lazer etched saber grind like the one in your photo? Second production release will be next? lol! Save your money boyz!
 
I'd LOVE a laser etched saber grind with the new coating, esp without the big ugly "FIRST PRODUCTION RUN" all over it, but alas it's not to be. FFG will be awesome though too for the slicing abilities.
 
It is ugly! Nothing a black sharpie can't take care of!l lol! Those knives are out there, mabye some day! Ethan?
 
Why couldn't they have just stamped a number on it and added a cert? Just because they stamp stuff all over their other junk knives doesn't mean they should have defaced these...especially the saber ground 16s. Some people just don't think.
 
From what I know about it, there were not 500 16's made, not the saber ground ones. SMKW purchased ALL of the ones KABAR had on hand, and then some, totaling out around 250 (for each model when all was said and done). There might have been a few more, some protos here and there, but that was it.

As far as a laser etched saber grind, the one in the sig above is a photoshop done by Dubz I believe. If there are any new coating saber grind laser etched BK16's, there are very, very few of them.
 
yeah, we saw the viddy opening day when Clich posted it. haven't seen another copy yet (in one piece, all digital, no Clich commentaries - it's in 3 parts you know)

as for what's out there... well, tis what it tis :D
 
They just sold sets of these tonight - BK-15, 16, and 17

All signed - stamped tangs - along with a bonus machax !!
