Anyone strip a small TDI?

Can I etch the logos into AUS8? Kind of want to strip my new TDI and get rid of the paint, but I want to keep the logos. Anyone try this?
 
I have never etched AUS8 specifically, but it's still steel. As a stainless steel, it resists corrosion better, but it will still corrode, eventually. So I would just expect that the etching process would take longer. How much longer would be the question.

Are you intending to electroetch it or chemically etch it?
