Anyone strip a TGULB?

I stupidly waited to long to order a TGULB so now I only have the option for the coated version :-(
Has anyone stripped theirs? Have they done a better job removing grinder gremlins before coating or will their still be a bunch underneath?

Pardon my whiskey bluntness, but, if your stripping it, it's gonna be a user, or you don't care about the "gremlins"

Personally, I like my infi patinaed with usage. Granted, I abuse my busses to almost the extreme and they laugh.

I have etched and stripped one....minimal gremlins iirc

If it is stripped Than it is that. a stripped Busse done by the end user.

Not comp finish, not satin finish

I kind of like the grinder gremlins

It adds character

But mostly it does not add to any confusion of somewhere down the line of whether it is a home strip job or comp finish or something else.

If you are going to strip it, then strip it.

what does the finish under the coating matter ?

There’s plenty around on the X and elsewhere at very reasonable prices in a market I would personally consider oversupplied if you don’t want to take the chance on a strip job.

Do an electric etch on the logo first before stripping. Very easy and looks awesome.

Most are very smooth like satin. At most they might be like Comp finish.
Here’s a tglb that I bowie ground and stripped. I brushed citri strip on it and waited 24 hours and took a dull razor blade to scrape it off. Afterwords I will polish it on a buffing wheel.

Strippers are meant to have physical flaws or it's less fun to play with them.

Busses arent supposed to be free of flaws either.
