Hey. I've been considering stripping and etching my BK-12. I've got everything I need to strip and etch it. Just curious if anyone has done it and how it came out. Pictures would be great. Heck any pictures of the MK2 would be great!

here's mine

Nice! Did you etch the logos first?

I did etch before but some of the coating on the side with the Ritter Becker logo was already worn off from use so that side didn't come out as clear. I used it heavy for a year or or more before stripping. Wish I would have etched it when I first got it.

Before stripping.

This is one of the best Becker blades available in my opinion. Love this thing.

I did not etch my BK12 before I stripped it, though I now wish I had.

When first stripped, the BK12 remains a dark sort of grey color because of the texture of the steel underneath, it looks VERY cool that way and the laser etching is still quite visible:

I have since mostly polished my 12, and while it looks pretty cool, I think I liked it better with the texture on it.
