Anyone stripped the blade coating off of a mini tac?

Cant stand the silver finish on my mini tac bowie.
Like the knife but the silver billboard look has to go.
Trying to figure out if its a finish that paint remover will work on.
Anyone done this with the mini tac line of knifes, looking for any advise.
