I'm no fan of the sheath color of the new nylon sheath for the tweeners, but I like the design. Will it take dying? Anyone successfully done it that can post pics?

Yep plenty of folks here have using Rit brand dye. And they've also dyed Scales ,Becker patches etc.

Just the sheath examples span many threads.

Go up to the "search" function here and type in "rit".

Down towards the bottom of the first page of threads you'll start to see several dating back to June and earlier.

Hope this helps. Peace..

Jim is right there should be some threads about it buried in here somewhere. Here's a pic though to hold you over, I used dark green Rit Dye. As you can see some parts of the sheath take to the dye more than others, but I like the effect:

I like the looks of that one ,Rogue...

Sort of a "Sage Green"" effect overall. Looks great.;)

That's about how mine turned out.

I used RIT "dark brown" for mine. Like the other guys said some parts take thy dye better than others.

Black Rit Dye. I let it set over night and rinsed it off very well the next morning.

One more!!

So, how would I go about getting a "multi-cam" color scheme out of RIT dye, like a forest green or something?

You can also dye scales. The ones on the right WERE tan.

And Beckerhead patches.

If you want solid black you need leather dye. Takes a while to REALLY dry, but its the only thing that will penetrate.
