Anyone tried the Kobalt Torx set ?

I was in Lowe's yesterday and I'll be damned the same thing happened to me. For 5 bucks I couldn't resist either.[emoji38]
I used it on a couple of knives last night and so far so good. They fit pretty snuggly so that's a plus. I think I'm the past it been a bit to much back and forth play by the torx bit that was responsible for stripped screws.

I do . They work great for me . I have taken about sebenza and turn pocket clips around also use it for my pivot . I find the small screw driver very handy . My son stepped on my PS4 remote and I had to open it to fix it worked . Very handy I also used it to fix the hand towel fixture in the bathroom . You get a lot for 5 bucks .

Ditto. It's a handy little set and I think you'll be well pleased. I don't do a lot of work on my folders so it has met my needs perfectly. Has also came in handy for lots of other non-knife uses, such as my grandson's toys.

I have one and it seems to be pretty good. I use it on my knives.

I just stumbled upon this little $5 set and it seems to be pretty good. Lol, I have a little grandson also so it should come in handy. :)

i dont have one - yet
but a coworker does and let me borrow it one day to work on a knife.
Seemed okay to me, i like the spinning grip at the rear

meh ... for $5, why not?

But ... I already have a set of Wiha Precision Screwdrivers and L-keys (and assorted Wera L-keys), why would I want to use inferior tools?

I have a very similar, but older version of that Kobalt driver, from Lowe's. Came with 4 bits, 3 of which are stored inside the handle. My only gripe with it is, the black swivel cap on the end of the handle is very difficult to remove, to access the bits. Very tough on the fingers, with an inherent risk of throwing bits everywhere when it finally lets go. Looks like the new set pictured has a separate, external bit holder, so maybe (hopefully) they've worked around that issue, one way or another.

I have the older one as well and you are correct about the cap. The bits definitely can go flying! The new external is nice but cheap it doesn't hold the driver very well but for 5 bucks that's a small gripe.
