Sometime in mid September I plan on camping at the Meadow up Mount Nebo here in Central Utah for 3 days and 2 nights. The Meadow will be my base of operations for day hikes on Nebo to Explore the area and see the fall colors. At camp I hope to practice bushcraft/survival skills including building a brush shelter, practicing no match fires, trying my hand at making camp chairs and the like.
Right now I'm looking at going up the morning of Thursday September 13th and coming back Saturday the 15th in the evening. By the way, the Meadow is located about 2 miles up the Nebo trail and sits at about 8,000 feet above sea level. The trail in is very pretty and also Very Steep! Trails around the meadow are easy so is the trail to the Spring which is another 2 miles up the Andrews ridge trail.
If you're interested in such a trip, let me know! I think it's worth the drive and hike.
